COVID-19 Information

We are delighted to move towards stage 4 of our ‘Roadmap to Reopening’ following the latest government announcement.

This latest news means we will be making some changes to how we run SDSG swim sessions.

While we are able to relax some of the COVID-19 measures, the fact that many of our members are vulnerable does mean some restrictions remain for the time being to help keep us all safe.

Thank you all for your continued support.

STEP 4 GENERAL COVID SECURE MEASURES WE ARE UNDERTAKING, INCLUDE:

  • All activities must be booked online in advance so capacities can be managed and to limit waiting in reception.     Please be aware, we may need to change/alter or cancel your booking subject to requirements at the time at our discretion

  • Activity times will continue to be staggered, so activities will be starting and finishing at different times

  • Customers aged 16 and over should scan the NHS QR code posters displayed using the NHS COVID-19 app. You will be asked to provide your name and contact details so you can be notified if you have been exposed to the virus

  • We ask that anyone feeling ill or showing signs of any symptoms does not attend the centre and follow NHS guidance

  • Members are encouraged to wear face coverings indoors when not taking part in an activity

  • We ask that you arrive no earlier than 20 minutes before your booked activity start time unless agreed in advance.

  • Bather loads will remain lower than pre-COVID levels and will be continually reviewed

  • Use the hand sanitiser provided before and after your session/activity

  • All member communication can be done through this website to avoid interaction, but where this may be unavoidable, the venue have installed protective ‘sneeze screens’

  • Hand sanitiser will remain available and both Everyone Active and SDSG will continue with increased cleaning regimes. Please continue to support us in maintaining a clean and safe environment for all

  • We no longer advise that you arrive ready. Changing rooms will be open for those that want to use them.

  • Scarborough Disabled Swimming Group is participating in the NHS workforce COVID-19 testing programme (lateral flow testing)

  • If a swim session is cancelled due to COVID-19, notification of this will be posted on our Facebook page (www.facebook.com/scarboroughdsg) and you will be sent an email from our booking system (TryBooking.com). Please check regularly.
